San Juan incised redware bowl by Tomasita Montoya (1899-1978), one of the original seven potters in the "San Juan Revival" of the 1930s. The rim, base, lines, and incised areas are painted red, with repeating geometric shapes across the surface painted in light and dark tan. Signed "Tomasita Montoya San Juan [illegible]" on underside. Four felt feet attached to underside, with some residue of old labels.
