Oil landscape on board by Clyde Leon Keller (1872 - 1962) in period frame. An impressionistic river landscape done in broad strokes of soft pastels and muted earth tones. Possibly a scene near Sauvie Island outside Portland, Oregon, a favorite subject of the painter. Keller was an important Oregon impressionist, and the painting is a fine example of his earlier work.
