Plateau double-sided Dreamer pictorial bag. This important bag was probably made by a member of the Dreamer religion. The front is decorated with a beaded design of a man in breech cloth and leggings and a woman in a dress holding a bag with crosses, each with an eagle feather in their hair. The reverse is beaded with a design of an elk stag and doe below a descending arrow, with a beadwork bow on the buttoned flap at the top of the bag. The imagery on this bag is highly symbolic within the Dreamer religion.
